Hiroshima University has launched the “Hiroshima University Postgraduate Advancement Project” to assist graduate students who are motivated to engage in research and contribute to the advancement of Japan's science, technology, and innovation.
This project aims to provide financial support to as many students as possible by combining various national support programs, thereby creating an environment where students can focus on their research with peace of mind. Additionally, the project works to enhance students' research capabilities and support their career paths, with the ultimate goal of nurturing doctoral-level talent who can contribute to the future development of Japan’s science, technology, and innovation.

〇Support Programs

• Program for Developing and Supporting the Next-Generation of Innovative Researchers at Hiroshima University (SPRING) 
  (Support for 379 students annually, with individual support ranging from ?2,680,000 to ?2,800,000 per student)
• Project for Developing and Supporting the Next-Generation AI Researchers at Hiroshima University (Support for 7 students annually, with a total of 21 students over 3 years, with individual support of ?3,900,000 per student)
• Hiroshima University Fellowship for Female Graduate Students in Science and Technology (Support for 4 students per academic year, with individual support ranging from ?2,680,000 to ?2,800,000 per student)
